Category: Meteorological Stations

A Weather Monitoring Station (WMS) has been successfully deployed for the 75 MW  Jamui Solar Power Project in Bihar, enabling accurate environmental and solar resource monitoring across the site while supporting efficient plant operations through continuous real-time data acquisition.

Real-time monitoring of meteorological and solar parameters enables precise plant performance analysis, generation forecasting, and long-term operational optimization. The system is powered by the MBLogger 1000 Pro, ensuring reliable data logging, communication, and control operations. Ambient environmental conditions are monitored using the MBMet-901CB, while PV module temperature monitoring is carried out through the MBMet-803 sensor for accurate module performance assessment.

High-precision solar irradiance measurement is achieved using SMP10-A Pyranometers from Kipp & Zonen for GHI, GII, and POA measurements, ensuring dependable solar resource analysis and performance benchmarking. Wind speed and wind direction are monitored using the MeteoWind 2 by Barani Design, delivering accurate atmospheric wind data for plant safety and operational assessment. Soiling losses are continuously monitored through the DustIQ by Kipp & Zonen, enabling improved maintenance planning and enhanced energy yield optimization.

Installed with a robust and field-proven design, the system ensures uninterrupted and reliable monitoring under demanding site conditions, contributing to improved plant efficiency and operational excellence.
