Category: Weather Monitoring System
A Weather Monitoring Station (WMS) has been deployed for a 50 MW solar power project, strengthening reliable environmental and solar resource monitoring at the project location. This initiative supports efficient plant operations through accurate and continuous assessment of site conditions.
Accurate, real-time measurement of meteorological and solar parameters is essential for performance assessment, generation forecasting, and long-term plant optimization. The system is engineered to deliver dependable, high-resolution data even under demanding site conditions.
The installed system features the MBLogger 1000 Pro, an industrial-grade datalogger for secure and continuous data acquisition. To ensure reliable connectivity, the RS-485 Device Communication Module (MBRS-205) is integrated within its junction box. The MBMet 901 measures air temperature, relative humidity, and pressure, along with dew point and air density, while the MBMet 803 monitors PV module temperature.
For solar measurements, the SMP10 Pyranometer provides accurate GHI and POA data, and the RaZON+ measures DNI, DHI, GHI, and sunshine duration. Wind conditions are tracked using Davis 6410 sensors, and rainfall is measured with a Davis rain gauge.
This WMS delivers critical data for performance monitoring and informed decision-making, ensuring long-term efficiency and reliability.
